Blog Review

http://ntran2016.edublogs.org/

What were your first impressions of this blog?

  • My first impression about this blog was the blog animals theme, the blog show a bunch of animal’s picture that is cute and the banner is a giant picture of fishes. The impression afterward is that the blog is really well organized and there are just so many words on the blog.

What captured your attention?

  • What capture my attention is the content of each post, every post on the blog have a lot of words and the content is very nice, the good thing is that the post are at the optimum amount, thus is very nice to read through and I didn’t got bored halfway through the post. I also like the way the blog is organize, this blog make my blog look like a mess and that level of organization also make the blog easier to read and it help the reader out greatly.

What distracted you on the blog?

  • The thing that distracts me from this wonderful blog must be the picture of the animals and the meme background made out of GIF file. The animals give the blog a theme but it also distracts other reader from what they want to read. The flashing background makes it even harder for people to read and enjoy the blog. The background tired my eye and make my head dizzy after just 15 minutes I spent reading the blog.

What suggestions can you give me to improve my blog?

  • My only suggestion for you to improve your blog is that you should remove the cat background immediately. The background gives the readers headache and it tired me out after just a little bit of time I spent reading your blog.

    Learning time

    May 7, 2012

The most important lesson I learn out of school must be home economy lesson I learn at home at home with my mom. The reason behind all of this is because my mom always wanted a daughter, but in the end she have 2 sons instead, she think that I’m the most feminine out of the 2 sons so she make me learn all of the recipe that my grandmother taught her when she was my age. At first I hated the lesson, I would have to stay in the kitchen every night, learning how to make special dish, and my younger brother would always drop by to make fun of me. But not so long later I started to enjoy the class, I would ask my mom to teach me many other things such as knitting, weaving, cleaning and also baking, I love it so much that sometime I would even register myself to special cooking class and buy my own cooking machinery. I would usually make dishes that I learn outside of home and cook it for my family and friends. I also take over my mom role in the kitchen and cook my family daily meals to gain some more experience in cooking, I also have time to experiment with many different type of ingredient. In the end I accept my feminine side and make the best out of it.

Mobile phones should be used in classrooms

    May 7, 2012

In modern day, mobile phone is a technology that evolves faster than everything else. In just 40 years, mobile technologies have evolve from a 1kilogram block to an extremely advance and complex device. Mobile phone can benefit the classroom greatly, not only helping the students but also the teachers. On a mobile phone, students can use the pre-installed function like calculator and camera for their class instead of having to buy an expensive machine. Cell phone can replace the uses of laptop computer, which put a lot of weight onto the student bags. Unlike laptop computer, mobile phone is very light weight and is often less expensive than computer. Mobile phone can do all of the laptop computer functions that is needed for school such as Microsoft Words, PowerPoint, and Excel and it can be much easier to use. One other function that the mobile phone is better than the laptop computer is that the phone can easily access the internet via 3G, unlike laptop computer which rely on Wi-Fi. With 3G, students can have wireless access to research site, mail, many other education website without needing Wi-Fi. Teachers can also benefit from the mobile technology; they can get a lot of work done using their mobile device. Teachers can do grading using their mobile phone using various applications that is available online, making grading much more portable and that the grading can be more exact and accurate. Teacher can also prepare lesson plan and make class work using their mobile phone. They can also receive homework from student that were sent via mail and can get to work right away grading it. In conclusion, mobile phone is a useful technology that helps students and teachers with their school work and make school much easier, therefore should be included into each and every classroom.

    How creative is my life

    April 25, 2012

In my own opinion, my life is not very “creative”. For most of the time, I would just sit around on the sofa and read manga from my computer, relying on other people creativity. If I have time, I would spend hours on the computer, even on a school day, doing nothing but staring at the screen. I guess that the only thing I do that is creative is my painting and drawing. I would often work on a painting for days, paint whatever I like and what come to my mind at that time. I have a couple painting that was sent to competition but never actually felt accomplish about those painting. My favorite hobby is to draw Japanese manga, I might be bad at sketching, but with a little work and some polish, it turns out quite nice. I would sometime re draw a manga chapter to my own liking and then glue it into the actual manga volume, making a mess out of it. For me, the art I do is very random and quick, I would just randomly start on a project, finish it, and then go back to my boring and plain life again.

    Creativity Website

    April 23, 2012

I went to isleoftune.com to create my own musical instrument. I use the site to create a city or town out of houses, plant, and streetlight. You built road that run through those houses and various other items and you set car to run on those road, as the car approaches an object, the object make a sound, different depending on which object you have out there. The first “song’ I make are just simple sound and I refer to it as a failure. Even though the process is easy, creating actual music using the website is really hard for me so I think that I would have to practice more with this website if I want to be better.

I visit fantasticcontraption. Net to play a contraption making game.  The main goal of the game is that you have to build a device using wheel to move a specific object into the goal. I fail at the game so many time that I can’t possibly count how many time I fail. The game in my own opinion is very hard and require alot of creativity( which i lack).

I use thisissand.com to create a sand picture. I use many different color and I switch between many different color to create the somewhat weird picture. The picture turn out to be much worse that i espect it to be but i think the problem behind that is that i dont have a lot of time to spent on making it, i just spent about 10 minutes on it to test out the website.

I use flipsnack.com to create a flip book out of my old ICT project PDF file. I upload the PDF file, then I customize to the style that I prefer and then I upload it onto the website. The flipbook i creatd, in my own opinion is quite weird and that it is somewhat ugly, the font doesnt work well with the background. Making this flipbook is quite easy because you just need to upload the PDF file onto the webiste and it will pretty much do everything else for you.

    Spring Break

    April 18, 2012

During the spring break I and my family went to Phan Thiet. The weather is not as good as we expected to be once we get there, the sky was dark and depressing, the wind was blowing very strong, and the rain keep falling non-stop. Before the trip I got a weather report saying that a storm would hit Phan Thiet but I wasn’t sure when it will arrive so I was sure that I would be gone before the storm would actually hit. I was wrong, the moment I reach my destination was the worst time to be in a coastal town, all the tree and billboard collapse due to the wind, the waves is so powerful that you can’t swim, it was raining so hard that could hardly ever leave the hotel. I was trap inside a small hotel room for 2 days eating nothing but junk food and spent all of my time on the computer or watching television, doing nothing but get myself fat.  That would probably be the worst vacation I have ever have and will have in my life.

    Week 6: Work

    April 16, 2012

What type of volunteer work would you enjoy?

If I were to volunteer for a job, I would probably volunteer for any job that allows me to go around the world and help people in need. I would probably volunteer to join the Red Cross so that I can go around the world and help people in need of medical treatment or help recover a city or town after a natural disaster strike. I can meet new peoples from many different places in the world and I can help people from many different places.

How has technology changed the way we work?

Technologies have made work much easier for peoples, document that use to take a long time to be sent via post office can now be done in less than a second using email. Industrial works that use to be done by hand is now being replace by machine doing the same type of work but more efficient. Cellphone make communication much easier for people to do business and computer make calculation and information organization much easier than before.

How would this infographic about laziness at work look different if it were laziness at school?

The info graphic would be different to actually connected with laziness at school. The infographic would be more student related and the image on the infographic will be a student instead of a worker.

Is your school teaching digital literacyfinancial literacy, social media literacy which can all affect the job you decide on in the future?

My school is not teaching any of those classes.

Why do some students work hard at school while others just get by in their subjects? Does this change depending upon the country you or your parents come from?

I think this happen because some student believe that working hard will be rewarded with a better future while some student just believe that studying doesn’t affect your future and that they just need to get a passing grade in school. I believe that the origin of you or your parent have nothing to do with you studying hard or not studying at all, but depend on how your parent and you were raise as a child. Some student grown up in an academically gifted family and thus so they must study hard to meet the expectation of their parent. Some student grown up in a more free or loose family which put less pressure on them to study.

    My avatar!!!

    March 29, 2012

My avatar is an imaginary image of what I think I look like. The avatar has black hair and very thin or small eye. In real life I would probably be a little skinnier than the avatar but, oh well, I can exaggerate. The avatar wear glasses just like I did by mine is a little bit thicker and bulkier. I wear my headphone all the time just like my avatar.
